Study of medicinal plants is an integral part of Ayurvedic education. Our college provides opportunity for our students with a beautiful herbal garden, NANDHA VANAM, to explore and learn the subject deeply. The garden has promising brick walls as its surroundings and a proper water supply to water the plants daily. Organic manures are used to have properly grown, healthy plants. Our garden also provides necessary medicines for treatment purposes. We have almost 280 species and more than 390 medicinal plants in our garden. A green house has also been placed to keep the plants in a friendly and regulated temperature and also used to propagate the new budding plants.
We also have some rare medicinal plants that have been Red listed by IUCN including
